I nearly bought that one in the Virgin sale , as it was on a double bill with the Jedikiah story , but alas , I turned it down for something else ! .

It's worth buying for the commentary and 'Revenge of Jedikaih', but don't get an introduction to the Tomorrow People by watching 'A Man For Emily'. I'm a big TP fan and I found it difficult to watch. It's a pseudo comedy episode - and just fails on every level.

Yes, it's truly the worst example of the show. This series started with such an excellent premise and had some pretty good stuff for Children's Television. Unfortunately, the people behind it made a conscious decision to try and turn it into a comedy show ("A Man For Emily" was really meant to look the way it does). Not surprisingly the viewers, in particular the regular viewers, loathed it and so it tries to change back again. Sadly, the "comedy touches" tended to keep on appearing now and then, and the series declined into increasing silliness (much like "Lost In Space").

Probably the best story was "The Blue and the Green".

If you have any queries about the actual content of the B7 DVD extras for series one, I may be able to answer here, but I won't get involved in any slanging matches.

Thank you.

Blake's 7 BBC DVD Extras

Hi Kevin,

Well Season 4 has finally hit the shelves, and there's that remarkable Paul Darrow interview which I enjoyed very much. I haven't listened to any of the commentaries yet as I'm working through episodes in order first.

What was the final situation on extras and commentaries? Obviously there is little chance of the complete "Making of..." documentary ever being released (or rpesumably even finished), which is heartbreaking, but was Series 4 held back to allow any extra extras beyond what you'd (or BBC WW would) normally envisage?

After seeing the incredible, superb 50-minute documentary you directed on the recent Adam Adamant Lives! DVD, I feel more robbed than ever that I can't get to see the B7 one
