Enterprise has been cancelled, the movie franchise isn't looking too healthy - so have we seen the last of the show many regard as the antithesis of B7.
Now I have to admit I gave up on Star Trek round about the 5th series of Voyager - a series with some potentially great ideas that was sadly hamstrung by an authoritarian ethos and a refusal to take creative risks. Plus there was bloody Neelix. I never bothered with Enterprise because it was made by more or less the same people involved in Voyager, but I haven't heard many good things said about it.
So is Star Trek not boldly going, just gone? Or could it be ressurected? And even it can, should it be? _________________ Everything in life is only for now. |

I gave up on Star trek after The Next Gen finished. I hated DS9, hated Voyager, hated Enterprise - talk about flogging a dead horse. Weak stories, crap acting, cgi cgi cgi cgi, didn't like Babylon 5 either. I think I just got fed-up to the back teeth with all this throw away tv. At least with B7 you know where you are and the series ended on a hi point. The Start Trek stuff is like a long rant, just when you think it's ended somebody brings out another crap film or series. Let it and Gene Roddenberry rest once and for all. _________________ Ramses niblick the 3rd kerplunk kerplunk whoops there goes my thribble

I guess y'all haven't heard. The Dead Horse is being re-animated again for a prequel. It will have Kirk and Spock as Starfleet cadets. It comes out in 2008.
Put a stake through it's heart and let it die already! _________________ "Blak" sheep of the B7 forum family! |

I liked some of the Next Gen stories and the early years of Voyager had some good moments but it turned awful round about its 5th year. Never liked DS9 and never bothered with Enterprise. _________________ Everything in life is only for now. |

Well I really liked the original Trek and Next Gen,
I found DS9 a bit dull for the first couple of seasons, but it got interesting when they discovered the Dominion.
I liked Voyager for a couple of episodes then it got samey, and when *yawn* the Borg appeared, it went down the toilet.
I only saw a couple of Enterprise episodes.
My opinion is after the last couple of efforts, they should leave it now. Perhaps explore something else in the Star Trek universe. It doesn't have to be about the federation, it can be about a bunch of smugglers or something. Oh wait, that was done with Firefly! Oh well, the best ideas have gone, so shut up shop while they can. _________________ Louise and Simon's Blakes7 Fan Site

I liked Next Gen, couldn't get into Deep Space 9, Voyager was ok (but hated Janeway) and liked Enterprise.
Now they want to make a film of Kirk and Spock in thier younger days. Well at least that stops Shatner playing in another film (thank goodness)
but then again, knowing him.........!!!!!! _________________ Well now, you know you can trust me!!! |

Yeah, I hated Janeway too - she was so bloody pompous! If the crew had had any sense they'd have chucked her off the ship! _________________ Everything in life is only for now. |
