Final Frontier, with Insurrection a close second.
And yes, ST II and III were quite good. ST:TMP is good if you have the right drugs. Other than that, meh. _________________ "Blak" sheep of the B7 forum family! |

Robert Wise re-edited TMP a couple of years back, it was much tighter & a much better watch. |

Nemesis - Star wars meets Star Trek and takes the worst of both into an all new world of painfull veiwing.
Both are great dont get me wrong, they just dont belong in the same bed together _________________ " Do you remember the storys they told you about me..." |

Well I wanted the vote to be a little bit split!!
I like Wrath of Khan (that bit withthe parasites is one of the few genuinely scary ST moments) and First Contact. Generations has grown on me.
TMP seemed very dull to me, but I haven't seen it for years. The Final Frontier is terrible and I don't even remember what Insurection was about (though I assume there was some insurrection in it).
I think Final Frontier is probably the worst. At least in Nemesis you get to see Data blown up!! _________________ Everything in life is only for now. |

Wrath of Khan has some really original ideas, especialy the Genesis thingy, sure terraforming wasn't a new idea. But in 6 minutes??? Great stuff. The whole Submarine vibe is stunning too, & with moments like "KHHHAAAANNN" & "SPPPPOOOOOCKKK" it gives Shatner a chance to really draw out his pauses. |

I think The Final Frontier was the worst,The Wrath of Khaaaaaan was the best, and The Undiscovered Country was also good because it allowed the other cast members to have a larger role.Nemesis seemed like a retelling of Star Trek ll. _________________ "Women, food, and inflicting pain -- in no particular order."

Search for Spock was the best since it copied all of its ideas from Terminal (The search for the missing crewmate, the destruction of the iconic vessel, the crew being marooned, the terraformed/artificial world). Hope Terry Nation received somre royalties!
Wrath of Khan is bearable and Voyage Home is grealty helped byt the humour and mild environmental message, along with a few clever ideas. All the rest are terrible, with TMP being an awful attempt to create an intellectual, artistic story like 2001: A Space Odyssey and failing miserably! Have not seen Insurrection or Nemesis but I have heard they are both terrible! |

Final Frontier is possibly one of the worst films I have ever seen. Insurrection is dull. As for Nemesis, well, the appearance of Neighbours' Jim Robinson in the first five minutes as the Romulan Praetor ruined it. Suspension of disbelief shattered.
Best? Wrath of Khan, The Voyage Home or The Undiscovered Country.
First Contact is good for the battle scenes at the start with a whole slew of new Starfleet ships (the Akira class is my favourite - see this artwork http://home.earthlink.net/~joemcmullen/images/Doolittle/pepewan-doolittle3-4.jpg ) but then becomes a continuity laden injokefest rerun of Best of Both Worlds which ruins the Borg even more than the TNG episode I: Borg did by giving them a queen. You can therefore put a face to them and a personality and thus their threat becomes diminished.
Word of advice - NEVER go to see a Trek film and sit near trekkies (insult fully intended) as their constant sniggering at allegedly funny injokes will make you want to kill them. _________________ "Now then, Butch Harry, tell us about Fulham..." |
