Looking good Kev, methinks "Ken" might be going for a ride on the moon some day _________________ Wisdom must be gathered, it can not be given

Thanks. Unless he's really good at holding his breath, I'd better make him a spacesuit! |

I have purchased another one just to get the wheels, so it is up to the required total now. Insulation tape provides the stripes around the edge and a couple of bright leds make the headlights (with a switch on the dashboard). Quick bit of weathering and that's all I can do with the toy car, time to move on to the driver.

I have converted Action Man's racing overalls into an Alphan spacesuit by scratchbuilding cuffs, chest pack, backpack and collar from bits in my spares box, some plasticard and some balsa.
Still worried that he may have been cast for his looks rather than his talent though.
Oh well, the helmet is next.

Thanks. Yep, he's not bad. The headlights do light up, there is a switch on the dashboard. |

Thanks. The helmet is an old Action Man space helmet modified in shape using miliputt. |

I picked up a majorette amphibie recently, a matchbox-sized diecast of the Amphicat, so it had to be made into a moon buggy of course.

It's a lovely sunny day and I've just finished watching the UFO blu-ray set, so I thought I'd photograph a couple of my scratchbuilds outside.

Woah! Keep posting if you are so inclined. I miss models - CGI has dominated our landscape and not for the better in my not so humble opinion. I miss the realism. _________________ "You can get it off the ground!!!" |

Thanks very much. I agree, if done right models look well better than cgi. I think filming them well is difficult and too expensive for most productions. I can sympathize, I really struggle to get a half decent still image, trying to film must be a nightmare! |

Made this little kit of the Seaview submarine. It is the 14" Moebius one (I'd love the big one but it wouldn't fit anywhere!).
