To be fair, UKGold have repeated Blake's 7 on a loop for many many years. |

yup, they have done the same with Doctor Who too, yet they still play that, CONSTANTLY. Never any episodes other than Jon Pertwee or Tom Baker either |

I think the Nation embarko has something to do with the absent of Blakes 7 on tv.
BTW Blakes 7 Season 4 was repeated on BBC1 at 5.15pm on Saturdays during the summer in 1983.

B7 has not been repeated on free-to-air TV in Australia since 1983. On a cable channel UKTV it has been shown twice. The first time in 1996-98 irregularly on saturday afternoons with repeats in the middle of the night. The second time was Mon-Wed Fri nights at midnight in 2001-2002.
Considering some of the crap that is repeated ad nauseum I can only wonder if UKTV really knows what the viewers want to see.
UKTV is 50% owned by the BBC so they should have the rights to air B7 whenever.

I agree that BBC3 and BBC4 are criminally underused. If they started showing good quality repeats (B7 and good dramas) during the day when nothing is shown, I'm sure more people would be tempted to get Freeview - which after the initial outlay of about £60 is free - and they would get good viewing figures. Maybe they would then realise just what a goldmine they are sitting on. _________________

I agree BBC 3 and 4 could be put to much better use. Maybe we should lobby them for more B7, Dr Who etc.

What Nation embargo?
There was a dispute between Nation's estate and the BBC, which prevented the use of the Dalek's in the 1996 DW TV Movie. But this has long since been resolved, which has enabled Big Finish to have the Daleks in their audio adventures, and the BBC to re-release Dalek stories on DVD.
I agree with Turnidus and Kaz about BBC3 and 4 being criminally underused. |

Even if they put BBC3 & 4 on all day just at weekends it would be something.
On Freeview you just get the UKCrap makeover channel. |
