Although we are well aware of people having problems I thought that as a re-issue was planned (or so we think) and SERIES 2 has now been scheduled for much later in the year it was important that this thread was kept.
So if you have, or indeed haven;t had probelms with the B7 DVD's then please let us know here. |

|
|
There is def a problem with the series 1 box set discs. Every disc pauses play each time there is a disc layer transition. I have tried the discs in a number of DVD players, SONY, PIONEER, etc and it happens on each player which points to a disc fault. Does anyone know the official BBC line on this, are we entitled to an exchange/refund? Thanks, J |

I noticed that in HMV and MVC they are selling the original copies ,people will have to be careful which copies they are buying. |

Swindon does not have the re-pressed discs yet, I spoke to HMV chap and he said they had several set's returned for a refund but knew nothing of a re-pressing.
The discs don't work in my Pioneer, but are fine in my Panasonic. _________________ Ramses niblick the 3rd kerplunk kerplunk whoops there goes my thribble

I think I must be really lucky. I decided to hang on to my "faulty" set because they worked fine on my PS2, with no pause on the layer change or anything.
But then my PS2 started having difficulties with other discs, so I decided to buy a new player for DVDs. After much deliberation, I went for the Pioneer DV360 multi-region. After reading on here about lots of Pioneer owners being afflicted by the layer change problem, I was expecting to have to buy a remastered set of B7 discs, but, to my lasting surprise, my set works perfectly in my new player as well.
Total fluke, but it was the icing on the cake, really. |
