One from way back.
Gillian Bailey (Ravella, ‘The Way Back’!) played Jinny Carter in Poldark in 1975. I love this bit between Ross Poldark and Jinny because of the way she doesn’t always answer him.
Ross : Why did Demelza bring the baby? Has she left?
Jinny : Yes sir.
Ross : Where has she gone?
Jinny : Truro.
Ross : Truro, I thought her destiny lay in Illogan. Why has she gone to Truro? Well what is it? What’s happened? Why did she go? Who took her?
Jinny : No-one, she walked.
Ross : Well what has she gone for? Is she mad? Well tell me woman what has she gone for?
Jinny : To get rid o’ it.
Ross : Why?
Jinny : Cause she got no-one
Ross : But I offered to help.
Jinny : She didn’t want no help.
Ross : Well she must do as she must. I cannot help someone who will not be helped. She’s a grown woman. Her life is her own.
Jinny : She aught to be brought back.
Ross : Well it’s not for me to bring her back. If she went in spite of you, why should she come back for me?
Jinny : Well someone aught to bring her back whether she want to or no. ‘Tisn’t pretty what’ll happen to her. ‘Tisn’t something I’d like done to me.
Ross : I’m not her keeper. What of the man in Illogan?
Jinny : There weren’t one.
Ross : Well the other one, the man she met after. Well there must have been someone. Where is he? Where is the father? Well tell me. It’s mine isn’t it. The child is mine.
She was great in this and Blakes 7. _________________ Last Watched: Seek, Locate and Destroy 30th Sep 2020 |

Remember having a bit of a crush on her when I first watched the Way Back. |

Josette Simon in 1997 Sci-Fi drama 'Bridge of Time' on Channel 5 at 15.10 today. Going to see if it's any good. _________________ Last Watched: Seek, Locate and Destroy 30th Sep 2020 |

It was an African fantasy film, not Sci-Fi but 'Dayna' was good in it! _________________ Last Watched: Seek, Locate and Destroy 30th Sep 2020 |

Havn't seen it myself, but Steven Pacey played Chief Supt Haynes in BBC 1's Silent Witness back in February. _________________ Last Watched: Seek, Locate and Destroy 30th Sep 2020 |

Around 1991, an interview on Youtube with Jonathan Ross.
I liked Gareth saying "we knew it would be Cult, like Star Trek and Doctor Who". It's up there! _________________ Last Watched: Seek, Locate and Destroy 30th Sep 2020 |

Kevin - from the workbench thread, myself, and Kevin's wife can be seen in the audience. The props seen on the show were all made by Kevin _________________ Wisdom must be gathered, it can not be given

And Kevin had his Liberator handgun licked by Gareth
We met Jonathan Ross on the stairs after the show, and he signed my Cue boards and he asked what I was going to do with theses? _________________ Wisdom must be gathered, it can not be given

Great to see Paul Darrow and Michael Keating and watch them choose their answers just now in BBC1's gameshow Pointless Celebrities - a Sci-Fi special and both were very entertaining! _________________ Last Watched: Seek, Locate and Destroy 30th Sep 2020 |
