McCain concedes, it's over.
I knew Obama would win, but I never dreamed it would be this decisive. _________________ "Blak" sheep of the B7 forum family! |

FANTASTIC NEWS, IT WAS AN AMAZING NIGHT THAT IS FOR SURE. People were letting off fireworks in my town when the west coast states reported and pushed Obama over the 270 mark.
Nice speech by McCain I thought but thank god that Palin woman failed. I hope she goes back to Alaska never to be heard of again.
It was so great to be a witness to this and to have voted for him and to know have the hope of him being President. Good luck to Obama and let's hope he is actually allowed to do what is needed for this country and to improve the World in general. Mind you I guess I am not asking for very much!!! World Peace and prosperity for all. |

Last night as i was watching Obama win,i kept on remembering when i was growing up in this country, and how it had been divided by bias and racism, and that i wouldn't never thought that in my life time i would live to see this happen ,and as i thought of that i wept tears of joy!
A new day is dawning..
Happy days are here again, let's unite to help him make what this country
is.....Wonderful _________________ Jenna2..

You guys I missed the declaration ... It was 4am our time and I must have gone to bed just half hour before... but was up well in time to see that glorious speech...
The best tv I've watched in a while... I got up when I heard my neighbors overcome their steely british reserve and start screaming past 4 from their gardens..... Joyous celebrations in Grant Park and outside the Rockefeller building, then British TV cut to locals dancing in Kenya. Later on today we saw street celebrations in Indonesia and Japan.
Congratulations America, and congratulations President Obama! |

Here was the party in DC two hours after the victory was announced:

TBH, I never thought I'd see the day. Obviously I always thought he *should* win, though.

There isn't a single house republican in New England anymore.
It's a new day in America. _________________ "Blak" sheep of the B7 forum family! |
