I wonder if the Magratheans ever tried that design?

I like that they included a bit about gravity varying on different parts of the surface :)

I suppose the artificial planet Terminal had that problem to some extent, being ellipsoid... at least it looked ellipsoid, unless Zen had just got the aspect ratio set wrong on the main screen ;)
